Forgiveness - Can't be Christian without it! Acts 9, 11:19-25

Did you know NONE of the followers of Jesus were called Christian for the first 10 YEARS? The thing that made people look at them & say they reminded them of Jesus? FORGIVENESS! The Antioch church was started by people who fled Jerusalem because Saul was slaughtering all the people Baptized in Jesus Name & filled with The Holy Ghost. Saul is saved by Jesus & called to Preach the very same Message he tried to wipe out, & Barnabas brings Saul (later he is Paul) to Antioch! Where there are people he tried to murder! Where there are people who lost family because of Saul! And yet he & Barnabas preach there for a year - & its after that year that people call them Christians - the FIRST ones ever! Why? Because somehow in that year's time, they managed to FORGIVE Saul, just like Jesus looking down from the Cross at the bloody hands gambling for his clothes - hands covered with HIS blood - & said "Father, forgive them!"
